Company History
- 1910 We became established as a small pig iron and casting company.
1910
Saichiro Ueda established the company as a pig iron and casting company in 1 doshincho, Kitaku Osaka.
- 1923 We started our factory.
1923
Moved to Nakazaki, Kitaku Osaka, Started to use our brake shoe the Hankyu Corporation after that we became a brake shoe factory for trains.
- 1931~1987 Ueda Sa Foundry to Ueda Brakes.
1931
Relocated to current location to expand the factory.
1943
It was designated as a casting factory for trains by Ministry of commerce and Industry.
1946
Became a Ueda company organization the president was Giichi Ueda.
1949
Developed the Ueda Original brake shoe.
1957
Built a composition brake shoe department.
1959
Developed high phosphorus cast iron brake shoe.
1962
Composition brake shoe was first exported to West Germany from Japan.
1963
Won the Japan Invention prize.
1964
Japanese Bullet Train adopted the increased adhesion abrasion block.
Giichi Ueda( former chairman ) won the Yellow Ribbon medal.1965
Build a new office with laboratories of full-size-brake-tester.
1970
Researched and developed special cast iron brake shoe (US Light).
1971
Adapted the shell mold process at the factory and installed an assembly line.
1972
Established Ueda brakes sales department.
Start selling special iron brake shoe.

Japan National Railway adopted the special cast iron brake shoe (US Light).

Renovated the first factory and made automatic cast iron assembly line.

Developed the he braking force distribution brake shoe.

Ueda Sa Foundry to Ueda Brakes. Developed the special cast iron brake shoe 120km/h for high speed vehicles (four types).
- 1989 Built a new factory in Okayama and later expanded it.

Installed the high frequency electric furnace and the machine of spectroscopic analyzer.
Each Japan Rail company adopted increase adhesive brake shoe.1990
Developed special cast iron brake shoe(US Light) for 130km/h and increase adhesive brake shoe.

Developed and adopted the water resistant brake shoe.
The Bullet train Nozomi300 adopted the increase adhesive abrasion block U1-type.1993
Started developing disk brake lining.

Built new composition equipment at Okayama.(Okayama Factory)

Implemented disk brake lining.
Won the Osaka City’s Small and Medium Enterprise Efficient Factory.2001
